The Turkowiak Opus Magnum #746 is a one-of-a-kind OM acoustic guitar that pushes the boundaries of what a handcrafted instrument can be. Built around a double-top soundboard pairing Ancient Cypress and old-growth Flamed Redwood with the proprietary X-Wave Resonator system, and a back and sides of Ancient Kauri wood dating back some 50,000 years, every element of this guitar is chosen for both its acoustic excellence and its extraordinary provenance. The elevated Flamed African Ebony fingerboard with compound radius, asymmetric neck with Acoustic Tubes, and True-Temperament EVO-Gold fretwire reflect Turkowiak’s uncompromising approach to playability and intonation. Then there is the artistry: Baltic amber adorns the central soundhole, headplates, and tuning machine buttons — the latter part of Turkowiak’s own Hidden-Mechanism Black-Amber machines — while mammoth bone surfaces as the nut, saddle, fret markers, and the hand-crafted logo. Finished in a hand-polished, anti-static high-gloss varnish with gold dust, the #746 is as visually arresting as it is musically remarkable.
