After two years of anticipation, another Espressivo is finally here — an exceptional creation by German master luthier Curt Claus Voigt.
This beautiful instrument features an antique-coloured spruce top paired with flamed maple back and sides, all finished with the finest French polish. The slightly domed back and lightweight lattice-braced top give the guitar extraordinary projection, volume, and sustain, while its remarkable sensitivity makes it one of the most nuanced and expressive guitars available. With its effortless playability and refined tonal character, the Espressivo is an ideal choice for the ambitious and passionate guitarist.

Concept
The Espressivo was developed after years of consulting with performers, teachers, and students to design the ultimate modern concert guitar. The result is an instrument that combines powerful projection, balance, sustain, responsiveness, and comfort of play.
Praised in Gitarre Aktuell as the guitar with “the greatest projection and durability ever measured”, the Espressivo owes much of its excellence to Voigt’s innovative lattice bracing. (Current Guitar, III/10, 2010)
Construction & Features
Arched back – Inspired by the cello, the solid wood arched back requires no bracing, dramatically enhancing timbre and projection.
Elevated fingerboard – Allows easier access and precision in higher positions.
Lattice bracing – Provides an even, balanced tone across all registers.
Sound port – Gives the guitarist direct sound feedback and improved control, particularly valuable in chamber settings.
Zero fret – Ensures open and fretted notes share the same tonal character.
12-hole bridge – Optimizes traction and leverage for maximum sound transmission.
