Antonio González Cardenal – Especial Armónico (2007)
Concert classical guitar with Brazilian rosewood and patented harmonic reinforcement system
This exceptional classical guitar was handcrafted by Antonio González Cardenal, a renowned Spanish luthier with 18 years of experience at the legendary José Ramírez workshop. Today, he works under his own name, blending traditional Ramírez craftsmanship with innovative acoustic design.
The Especial Armónico model features González Cardenal’s patented harmonic reinforcement system, which incorporates three internal braces (tabiques) in the lower bout of the body – inspired by Fourier’s principles of harmonic behavior. This unique structural innovation significantly enhances tone clarity, projection, and harmonic richness, resulting in a sound often described as “sonoro e increíble” (powerful and incredible).
This is a concert-level instrument built for demanding professionals who seek a balanced, clean, and colorful sound with outstanding responsiveness and depth.
