I am a proud owner of a Turkowiak double-top guitar purchased through Marcin Skawinski at the Happy Guitar in Olsztyn, Poland. The guitar is a piece of art with California Black Walnut Burl and Amber inlays on the crown and elevated fingerboard. The double top flamed Old-growth Redwood and Western Red Cedar combine for deep basses and forever-sustain.
I wanted something special for the rosette, understated but artistically beautiful. Turkowiak accomplished that with inlaid African Ebony and Amber. Beautiful!
You will be interested in the many detailed innovations patented by Rafal Turkowiak, far too many to mention here. Go to the Happy Guitar website for a full description of #545. It plays as smoothly as it looks. The offering is full and resonant. Perfect for those slow dramatic Bach Sarabands and the cello suites we recreate without the sustain of a bow. Creatively combining great sound, technical innovations, and fearless woodworking is the mark of a true craftsman. After all, this is about making inspired music!
After falling in love with Turkowiak guitars, you might have reservations about ordering a Guitar from Poland. Don't be! I live in the USA, in Northern New Jersey. Marcin and I communicated frequently via email and social media. Marcin answered my concerns and questions promptly and with care. The team certainly earned my trust and respect!
Now I am inspired to step up my game to match this great-sounding, beautiful instrument!

Marcin deals with very high quality guitars. He is not only a dealer but a refined musician, passionate about high lutherie for guitar. This is clearly an added value because he knows what to advise you in choosing of the Instrument. But more importantly, he is a very honest, friendly person, ready to satisfy every need and to meet every difficulty. When the quality of the proposed tools is combined with the highest human qualities, the result is a guaranteed purchase. For those looking for an important guitar, surely Happy Guitar Music Store is a must. Not only did I personally find great professionalism, but I met a new friend, and you know: whoever finds a friend ...

As a Luthier I can fully recommend Happy Guitar Music Store. As I have dealt with Marcin over the last few years I have found him to be 100% Honest, reliable and true to his word. He is very easy to communicate with and is prepared to give his time when needed.
From a luthiers side Marcin has made the process soo easy, from guitar collection to receiving payments.
Cooperating with him is great as he also takes great care of the Marketing side of things, having professional musicians showcase each guitar's potential with high quality sound and video recordings. Giving me more time to concentrate on building.
He is also very musically talented and is more than happy to present a guitar on zoom if requested.
Marcin is passionate about all things guitar and luthiery which is great as he loves his job and it shows, and as a bonus he offers very good prices;) and has a great selection of our guitars to show off.
Go check out Happy Guitar Music Store and ask for Marcin 🙂

I do not normally do reviews unless I’ve had an awful experience or an incredibly pleasant one. I’m happy to say that when I purchased a Turkowiac acoustic from Marcin with Happy Guitar last month, my experience in the transaction was one of the latter. He is extremely responsive, trustworthy and clearly cares about the instruments he is selling. When the guitar was held up in customs because of the need for additional forms/documentation he responded immediately when required. Additionally, when I was billed customs/duty costs(that were included in the agreed upon costs of the guitar I paid to him), he sent me the money back immediately when I explained I was billed directly for those charges. Overall, I am so happy with the product and the process and would recommend transacting with Marcin to anyone looking for a quality guitar.

I spoke to Mr. Skawinski about a fine custom classical guitar by Mr. Rafal Turkowiak. I had lot of specifics I was looking for and he and Mr. Turkowiak were prompt and professional in giving me a quote and hit the build timeframe perfectly. The instrument was exquisite. Mr. Turkowiak builds guitars that are exceptional in sound quality and beauty. The attention to detail EXCEEDS guitars from other builders for DOUBLE THE PRICE. Having owned and played guitars from builders like Kenny Hill and Jeroen Hillhorst I can attest to this. Happy Guitar helped me build the exact concert guitar I was seeking and I'm very happy. Don't hesitate to contract with Mr. Skawinski for a Turkowiak or to trust that he will guide you in the right direction. Thank you again!

I’m very pleased to receive the guitar of exquisite beauty made by Rafal Turkowiak in perfect conditions. It was made in 2020 and pre-owned but looks like bran new. The shop owner, Mr. Marcin Skawiński, kindly arranged the condition check by Turkowiak himself, and shipped it in the Luthier’s packaging case. He frankly informed me of the payment method and the transport via Facebook Messengers. So there was no communications gap between Poland and Japan. Only shortfall was the dead battery for the pickup ‘Seymour Duncan Wavelength Duo’ but it does work perfectly after changing them. Haha. So I appreciate the shop very much.

I found Marcin trough a holy grail search for a high end classical guitar at an affordable price. I found a beautiful used Raimundo 180 classical guitar at his store in new condition. We exchanged lots of messages. He gave me honest answers with a very quick response time. He offered me a zoom meeting to talk about the guitar i was interested in, he demonstrated it thoroughly. He gave me a very good price. Excellent communication and also a very good guitar player! 🙂 I highly recommend his service. Greetings from a Happy customer from Canada.

Awesome shop run by an awesome owner. He answered all of my questions in the month leading up to my visit, was super accommodating and incredibly patient and made me feel welcomed the whole time.
He has a big selection of a ton of different guitars with different tonal qualities. If you comparison shop, his prices are the best.
I was most suprised by the Turkowiak. I thought if there's one guitar I wouldn't like, it's that one. All I can say is...just play it. The way the sound penetrates and moves the air is incredible
