Description
Otto Vowinkel was born and raised in a family of tailors in the old center of Amsterdam. The unique rosette design incorporates the motif found on the flag of the city of Amsterdam. The guitar’s headstock is carved in the style of the facade of his workshop.
This guitar, with its concentric-ring rosette and unique headstock shape, was developed and built by Otto Vowinkel over many years. It is now handmade in the Picado (Spain) workshop.
Its characteristic ease of play and clear sound make it a true Vowinkel instrument. Unlike the concert model, the 2A model is not French-polished, but lacquered.
The Otto Vowinkel 2A model is lightweight, has a very penetrating sound and is easy to play. The guitar is characterized by high volume, long sounding and warm sound.
